Born in 1958, has a Master Degree in Information Sciences since 1981. Has worked in ICT industry from 1982 to 1998, being, among others, project leader of several European research projects in the field of ICT. Since 1998 he is Chief Information Officer at the Municipality of Bari. In this role, leads a department who takes responsibility over coordination, projecting, and managing the entire municipal ICT infrastructure, from networks to applications, serving about 2000 employees, over about 40 sites all over the city. He has been referent for the Municipality, for several regional, national, and international networks and projects (a.o. URBACT, VISIONAIR, APULIE, PEOPLE) related to Information Society and e-government. He also has been coordinating, and still coordinates projects for ICT innovation of the Association of 31 Municipalities that constitute the Metropolitan area of Bari .
Dematerialisation, recycling and reuse of old desktops, mobility services, thin clients and datacenter consolidation, are some of the projects dealing with Green ICT, already operational within the ICT Department.
