Mercè Griera è un collaboratore scientifico della Commissione Europea nel Programma di Ricerca di tecnologie di comunicazione e informazione. Lavora nell’Unità Smart Cities e Sostenibilità ed è responsabile per lo sviluppo ICT nel settore dell'efficienza energetica.
Vanta più di 30 anni di esperienza ICT nel settore delle pubbliche amministrazioni, industrie private ed Università. È stata docente e ricercatore presso l'Università Autonoma di Barcellona, ha avuto incarichi di ricerca presso l'Università di Tolone, Var (Francia) e presso l'Università di Sherbrooke (Canada).
Merce Griera is a European Commission scientific officer in the Information and Communication Technologies Research Programme. She works in the Smart Cities and Sustainability Unit and she is responsible for developing the ICT for Energy Efficiency area.
Merce has more than 30 years of ICT experience working for public administrations, the private industry as well as the university. She was a lecturer and researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, she had research positions at the University of Toulon and of the Var (France) and at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada).
