Gennaro Faella serves as SVP Strategic Innovation & Development in Leonardo Cyber & Security Solutions Division since March 2022. Within the Division, Gennaro is heading up: the Cyber & Security Solution Product & Technology Development (CTO & Innovation); the Engineering; the Cyber Security, Resilience & Digital Center (SOC); the Strategies and Competitive Analysis; the National Business Development.
As such, he also drives the strategic direction of the Division, the internal & open innovation and technology roadmap, feeding up alignment and synergies with the Group technology roadmap, and helps the Lines of Business to transform and grow businesses and markets.
Gennaro was the General Manager in Marlink IoT & Digital between 2020 and the start of 2022. He explored and scaled up the new Digital businesses of the Group, working closely with Customers and Partners to create sustainable, resilient & remotely managed Operations in several Industries. He was part of the Marlink Group Executive Management Committee. Gennaro defined and executed the Marlink Group Digital and Strategic Plans, transforming people and organizations, contributing to create the global leader in business-critical hybrid networks and digital enablement solutions for remote and distributed Operations.
He was Head of Strategic Business Development for the Marlink Group between 2017 and 2020, establishing business growth strategies for the Marlink Group and the initiatives of Maritime, Enterprise and Bridge Electronics divisions by identifying new ideas and ventures.
In 2008 he joined Telemar, where he was responsible for the startup and the management of the international entities. He led the Company to become the Bridge Electronics and OT global leader in the Maritime Industry.
Previously, Gennaro focused on international business development, corporate development, strategy and marketing at TIM, contributing to TIM Broadband strategy execution and to the International companies strategic planning and growth.
Gennaro graduated in Economics from the Università degli Studi di Napoli ’Federico II’ with honors plus special mention of the Commission. He awarded the International Prize “Carla Rossi Balducci” for dissertation on product innovation.
Gennaro holds a “Diploma (Master) in Inter-Cultural Management” from Cambridge University (UK).
