Dr. Peter Agh is the Managing Director of ICMA Europe.
Prior to heading ICMA Europe he served as city manager of 6 municipalities of Slovakia ranging from 1.500 to over 500.000 inhabitants in an 18-year period. He served as President of the Slovak City Managers Association and as International Vice President of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). Dr. Agh is recognised as an international expert on decentralisation, local government management and LG professional association developer in the EUMEA region. Peter is a graduate of University of Economics in Bratislava, Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia and the Harvard Kennedy School. He devoted his Doctorate studies to municipal entrepreneurship at the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development of the Slovak University of Agriculture.
